Learning in an Always-Connected World
People are more connected than ever, communicating and receiving information increasingly in non-traditional ways. The typical 21-year-old has sent or received 250,000 instant messages and spent an average of 3,500 hours online.

The fiscal 2011 budget proposal identifies several high-priority goals for the Office of Personnel Management over the next two years. Those goals include recruiting and hiring a top-notch federal workforce, implementing a human resources dashboard to gauge employee satisfaction, expanding telework programs, and implementing new wellness programs -- all of which are of extreme importance because of coming projected retirements.
