Employers are surfing these sites to find talent not actively searching for new jobs, and those in industry specific skill areas.

New Learning Standards Portal

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI)has launched a new version of its e-learning portal, www.StandardsLearn.org.

A free educational resource, the website contains e-learning courses, reference materials, and links to educational resources offered by standards-setting activities and organizations in the U.S. and around the globe.

The purpose of the website is to build awareness of standards and compliance programs among the general public and within the academic community.

In addition to the e-learning programs, StandardsLearn.org contains a database of nearly 1,500 commonly used acronyms in standards and conformity assessment. Also included is the Standards Education Database, a resource of nearly 200 education and distance-learning programs provided by ANSI-accredited standards developers, ANSI members and academic institutions.
